Independent hip hop artist South Costello has built his music around honest storytelling and real-life experiences. Originally from Richmond, Virginia, he discovered his passion for music by freestyling as a kid before moving with his family to Marceline, Missouri, where he continued developing his sound.
Known for songs including “Devil in My Veins,” “Movin,” and “Where the Money At,” South Costello creates music centered on life’s struggles, victories, and determination. His approach focuses on authentic lyricism and personal experiences that listeners can relate to.
South Costello has continued expanding his live performance resume with appearances at events such as Mud Mayhem. He is also scheduled to open for Anthony BeastMode at Boots Camp in Springfield, Missouri, and is set to perform at Grime & Octane in New York, where he’ll share the stage with more than 20 artists, including Lil Wyte, Project Pat, and Blind Fury.

Throughout his career, South Costello has shared the stage with artists including Dustin Lee, Cymple Man, Hard Target, 501 Bryze, Anthony BeastMode, The Hicks, Keith Cash, Afroman, FJ Outlaw, and The Stixxx. Those performances have helped him continue building his experience as a live performer while reaching new audiences.
According to his artist bio, South Costello believes music has the power to heal, inspire, and help people through life’s toughest moments. That message remains at the center of his music as he continues writing and performing.
